Republic Day Celebration

Celebrating Republic Day every year is a great honour for the people living in India as well as people of India abroad. It is the day of great importance and is celebrated by the people with great joy and enthusiasm by organizing and participating in various events. Around two years, eleven months and eighteen days was taken by the Constituent Assembly of India to pass the new Constitution of SONY DSCIndia which was done on 26th of January, 1950. After getting declared as a Sovereign Democratic Republic, people of India started celebrating 26th January as Republic Day every year. Republic Day honors the date on which the Constitution of India came into force on 26 January 1950 replacing the Government of India Act (1935) as the governing document of India. On this day, ceremonies, parades take place at the Raj path which is performed as a tribute to India, its unity in diversity and rich cultural heritage. The parade showcases India’s Defense Capability, Cultural and Social Heritage. The President of India who is the Commander-in- Chief of the Indian Armed Forces, takes the salute.

Earlier, India was a slave country under British rule which was made independent after several years of struggle by the sacrifices of thousands of lives of our freedom fighters. Therefore, we should not let go easily all their priceless sacrifices. Let’s take an oath on this great day to preserve our country’s real meaning, position, status and most importantly culture and humanity.

Jai Hind…
