Bemetara, Chhattisgarh: An informative awareness programme on “Safety Measures to Protect from the Hazards of Thunder and Lightning” was organised at Allons Public School, Bemetara, with the objective of creating awareness among students and all members of the school family about the dangers of thunderstorms and lightning and the precautions required to stay safe.

The programme was conducted by Mr. Suresh Kumar Netam, Chief Electrical Inspector, Government of Chhattisgarh, and Mr. V. K. Parmar, Assistant Engineer, Bemetara. The visiting officers provided valuable and practical information about various safety measures to be adopted before, during and after thunderstorms and lightning.
