Admission Process

New Sainik Schools

Admission to New Sainik Schools is conducted through the All India Sainik Schools Entrance Examination (AISSEE), which is organized by the National Testing Agency (NTA) for schools functioning under the Sainik Schools Society

Entrance Examination

Students seeking admission to Class VI or Class IX must appear in the All India Sainik Schools Entrance Examination (AISSEE). The examination evaluates students in subjects such as Mathematics, Intelligence, Language, and General Knowledge depending on the class applied for. Selection for further stages is based on the merit list prepared from the entrance examination results.

Medical Examination

As per school medical centre allocation report , candidates must undergo a detailed medical examination conducted by a government hospitals. The medical test ensures that the candidate meets the physical and medical standards required for admission to Sainik Schools.

Eligibility for admission to approved new sainik schools

A candidate is required to secure a minimum of 25% marks in each section and a minimum of 40% marks in the aggregate for all categories, including SC/ST candidates.

Counselling Process

Candidates who qualify the Medical Examination the AISSEE are invited to participate in the counselling process.
